The Annapurna Family Trek is a beautiful adventure for the whole family in the marvelous Annapurna region of Nepal. As the trip is filled with finest tea-houses and easy trails, it is doable by all age groups. Additionally, the trails on the trek are one of the most-frequented ones in the entire country. From Pokhara, the trekking trail then leads to destinations like Ulleri, Ghorepani, Tadapani, and Ghandruk among others. The ethnic villages and settlements of the trekking journey all offer their unique attributes and amazing views of the Annapurna Peaks. The trekking trail is laden with Mani walls carved with prayers and colorful prayer flags swaying wonderfully against the Himalayan wind.

The thick scented woodlands of Blue Pine, cedar and maple make trekking an epic adventure where trekkers can spot the woodlands inhabitants like Himalayan monkeys and Musk Deer. Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu 1400m (4600 ft)
You may arrive in Kathmandu at any time with your family. Upon your arrival, you will be greeted by one of our airport representatives. He will help you get escorted to the Hotel. There are no planned activities for the day, so you may check into Hotel and relax. Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Full day guided sightseeing tour in Kathmandu Valley.
Today, you will have a guided sightseeing tour of the major UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the Kathmandu Valley. You will visit the holy Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the Bouddhanath Stupa, and the Swayambhunath Temple. Each of the sites is revered cultural and historical entities that present good insight into the country’s dexterity and architectural integrity. After the tour, you will be taken back to the Hotel. Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 3: Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara 820m (2690 ft) and drive to Hile 1510m (4954 ft) by jeep 3 hours and trek to Ulleri 2080m (6824 ft)
You will have a pleasant fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara today. The flight is filled with fleeting glimpses of Nepal’s countryside life and the terrain also provides beautiful sceneries to enjoy, with waterfalls and rivers cutting across cliffs and hills. When you arrive at Pokhara, you will be presented with amazing views of the Annapurna Mountain Peaks and the Machhapuchhre Himal. From Pokhara, you will have another 3-hours drive to Hile. From there, you will commence your trek to Ulleri, trekking through the woods of rhododendron. Overnight in Ulleri.

Day 4: Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani 2920m (9580 ft)
The trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani is quite spectacular. It is filled with amazing natural attributes, like waterfalls and small streams that flow through the landscape in the merriest of ways. The trekking trail goes through verdant juniper woods and crosses wonderfully laden-out terrace farms of rice and barley to finally reach Ghorepani- one of the prominent ethnic settlements of the region from where the views of mountain peaks like the Gangapurna, the Hiunchuli Himal and the Annapurna range and the Dhaulagiri Himal are simply breath-taking. Overnight in Ghorepani.

Day 5: Hike to Poon Hill 3210m (10,531 ft) and trek from Ghorepani to Tadapani 2630m (8629 ft)
You will wake up early in the morning today and trek to the vantage point of Poon Hill to witness the magical moment when the sun rises amidst the Annapurna peaks. It is an out-of-this-world phenomenon and is quite ethereal to witness. Poon Hill is also famous for presenting panoramic views of the entire Mount Annapurna massif along with many of its neighboring peaks. After spending time in Poon Hill, you will return to Ghorepani, have breakfast and begin trekking to today’s destination – Tadapani. The trekking trail is, once again, laden with natural beauties and the Himalayan views keep you company along the way. You will also encounter many small streams along the trail, and prayer flags embedded into walls. Overnight in Tadapani.

Day 6: Trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk 1990m (6529 ft) and village tour
From Tadapani, you will steadily make your way to Ghandruk today. Ghandruk is one of the best places throughout the journey. It presents amazing views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Peaks. The village’s traditional houses provide a nice feel of tenacity. The green gossamer of the woodland and the colorful rhododendron flowers in near the village vicinity also provide a picturesque abstraction. After arriving at Ghandruk, you will have a lovely little tour of the village. Overnight in Ghandruk.

Day 7: Trek from Ghandruk to Syauli Bazaar 1140m (3740 ft) and drive to Pokhara 820m by jeep 3 hours
From Ghandruk, you will have a trek to Syauli Bazaar, hiking under the tourmaline canopy of bamboo woods. The trek is paired with peeking Mountains that appear and disappear as you meander through the valley. After arriving at Syauli Bazaar, you will have a drive back to Pokhara on a jeep, enjoying the jade-green forest canvas that paints a marvelous picture. Overnight at Hotel in Pokhara.

Day 8: Relaxing in Pokhara
This day is reserved for rest in the city. Pokhara is one of the best places to relax. You can enjoy a boat ride on the Phewa Lake or even visit other attractions of the city, like David’s Fall and the Gupteswor Cave. There are numerous restaurants alongside the Phewa Lake that present guests with cultural dances and folk songs. Overnight at Hotel in Pokhara.

Today, you will catch a plane back to Kathmandu, bidding the Annapurna Mountains goodbye for the last time. At Kathmandu, you may spend the rest of the day as you please, visiting the city’s many sites or shopping around in Thamel. Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.
