Rolwaling Tashi Lapcha Pass Trek allows you to explore the beauty of both Rolwaling valley and Khumbu region of Nepal. This trek will take you to one of the isolated villages of Himalayas. Rolwaling Tashi Lapcha Pass Trekking is relatively challenging as you will trek on the glacial path and cross the high-mountain pass of Tashi Lapcha (5755m). On this trek, you will witness the calmness of Himalayan surrounding and gorgeous sceneries along with the views of snow-capped mountains. Also, the Sherpa culture and monasteries will be a treat as you traverse along the pleasant trails.
Rolwaling valley is the hidden gem of Nepal, which is located in between two massive mountains. This trek begins with the drive to Gonggar via Dolakha. From here, you will go through the villages like Simigaon, Bedding, and Na along with the stunning view of Mt. Gaurishankar (7,134 m). In Na Village, you will get to explore the beautiful Yalung Glacier and also climb on the training peak of Ramdung La (5,665 m). Further, you will ascend towards radiant Tsho Rolpa Lake (4540m), also known as the largest glacial lake in Nepal. From here, the trail will become difficult as you will trek on the slippery glaciers to reach Tashi Lapcha Pass (5,755 m). This pass also separates Rolwaling region from the Khumbu region and the Gaurishankar Conservation Area from the Sagarmatha National Park. You will then join the trail of the Khumbu region and trek towards Namche Bazaar, which is the main village of the whole Himalayas and also the biggest residential area of Sherpas. On the way to Namche Bazaar, you will see amazing views of Mt. Everest (8,848 m), Mt. Cho Oyu (8,188 m), and the other Himalayas. After spending a day at the Namche Bazaar, you will trek to Lukla and take a short 40 minutes scenic flight back to Kathmandu. No doubt the trail is adventurous, and you will need to physically fit to go on this trek. The best time to go on this trek is from April to May and September to October.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu 1300m
You will be picked up at the Tribhuvan International Airport by one of our team delegates. He will then take you to your hotel and rest of the day is free for you to rest. In the evening, you will meet with your guide and you will also be briefed about the trip. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Gonggar via Dolakha 1660m (7/8 hours) by land cruiser and trek to Simigaon 2020m (1/2 hours), overnight at tented camp.
You will drive to Gonggar via Dolakha after having the breakfast. The drive will present you beautiful views of Sun Koshi and BhoteKoshi rivers. You will then cross Dolakha, Pikhuti, Suri Dobhan, and Manthali alongside Tama Koshi River and reach Gonggar. After reaching Gonggar, you will begin trekking towards Simigaon. Upon reaching Simigaon, you will see stunning views of Mt. Gaurishankar (7,134 m). Overnight stay at Simigaon.
Day 3: Trek from Simigaon to Dongang La 2791m (7/8 hours), overnight at tented camp.
You will descend on a steep trail, and further, ascend along the edge on vertical stone steps. You will enter in the beautiful rhododendron forest and trek towards Rolwaling River. From here, you will ascend through the dense forest along with the view of Mt. Gaurishankar (7,134 m). You will then walk on the flat land to reach Dongang. Overnight stay at Dongang.
Day 4: Trek from Dongang La to Beding 3740m (7/8 hours), overnight at tented camp.
Today, the trail will go through the beautiful forest of rhododendron along with few ascend and descend until you reach Nyamare Village. Further, you will trek towards Beding, which is the largest Sherpa Villages of Rolwaling region. You will see an old Gompa at the entry of the village and the holy temple of Hindus, Gaurishankar Temple, which is located above the village. Overnight stay at Beding.
Day 5: Exploration Day, Overnight at tented camp.
Today is your rest day at the Beding to get acclimatized with the increasing altitude. You have both options to rest or to go on a short excursion. You canhike to Menlung La Pass (5,616 m) passing through moraines. You will get to witness spectacular views of snow-capped mountains, glaciers, and green forest from the top of the pass. You will also visit the holy temple of Hindus, Gaurishankar Temple. Overnight stay at Beding.
Day 6: Trek from Beding to Na 4180m (4/5 hours), overnight at tented camp.
You will begin trekking by ascending along the bank of the Rolwaling River until you reach Dhogre. You will then trek and further, see the valley gradually open up to a huge Mani stone wrapped with the colorful prayer flags and a large rock with an image of Bodhisattva painted on it. From here, you will trek and reach Na, which is situated on the bank of the Rolwaling River. Overnight stay at Na.
Day 7: Acclimatization day: Hike to Ramdung La 5665m and Yalung glacier, overnight at tented camp.
It is another rest day to get acclimatized with the increasing altitude. You will hike to Ramdung La pass (5665m) by going through the glacial and slippery trail of Yalung Glacier and Ramdung Glacier. You will see spectacular views of TshoRolpa Lake, mountains, and the surrounding glaciers from Ramdung La. After spending some time at the Ramdung La, you will return to Na. Overnight stay at Na.
Day 8: Trek from Na to TshoRolpa Lake 4540m (4/5 hours), overnight at tented camp.
You will begin trekking by crossing the wooden bridge over the Rolwaling River. You will then ascend on the steep trail and further, trek on the moraines of Rolwaling Glacier to reach the beautiful glacial lake, TshoRolpa Lake. This is one of the most popular lakes of Nepal located at the altitude of 4,540 meters. You will see the amazing views of the surrounding hills from here. Overnight stay at Tsho Rolpa Lake.
Day 9: Trek from TshoRolpa Lake to Trakarding Glacier 4800m (7/8 hours), overnight at tented camp.
Today’s trail will be short yet challenging. You will trek on the icy trail of Trakarding Glacier throughout the day along with the views of several snow-capped mountains like Rolwaling Kang (6,664 m), and JabouRi (6166m). Further, you will ascend on rocky terrain to reach Trakarding. Overnight stay at Trakarding.
Day 10: Trek from Trakarding glacier to Tashi Labsta Phedi 5755m (6/7 hours), overnight at tented camp.
You will ascend through the rocky trail and gradually trek on the glacier. Leaving the trail of Trakarding Glacier, you will trek through the Drolambau Glacier. The views of the Rolwaling Himalayan range and the surrounding Trakarding and Drolambau glaciers also prove to be great scenic delights. The trail will be slippery and difficult. With gorgeous landscapes and alpine vegetation all around, you reach Tashi Labsta Phedi. Overnight stay at Tashi Labsta Phedi.
Day 11: Trek from Tashi Labsta Phedi to Tashi Labsta Camp 5665m (6/7 hours) via TashiLabsta Pass 5755m, overnight at tented camp.
You will ascend steeply from Tashi Labsta Phedi to TashiLabsta Pass (5,755 m) and further, trek towards TashiLabsta Camp (5,665 m), which is also known as TashiLabstaPhuk. The pass separates the Rolwaling region from the Khumbu region. The trail to Tashi Labsta Pass (5,755 m) will be strenuous. From here, you can see Sagarmatha National Park, and descend all the way down to reach TashiLabsta Camp. Overnight stay at Tashi Labsta Camp.
Day 12: Trek from Tashi Labsta Camp to Thyangbo 4350m (4/5hours) overnight at tented camp.
The trail will be comparatively easier than before.However you will still trek on the glacier trail to descend down to Ngole.Further you will continue descending towards ParchemucheTsho which is a glacial lake in the Khumbu region en route to Thyangbo.Trekking along with the amazing views of Mt. Cho Oyu (8,188 m) and PasangLhamuChuli (7350 m) you will reach Thyangbo. Overnight stay at Thyangbo.
Day 13: Trek from Thyangbo to Thame 3820m (4/5 hours), overnight at tented camp.
Today, you will begin trekking early in the morning through yak pastureland and reach the yak herder’s temporary huts. The trail will be rough and gradually descend downhill. Further, you will trek following a small stream until you reach the Power House before entering the village of Thame. You will rest, and later in the evening, you will visit the Thame Monastery from where you can see gorgeous views of surrounding mountains. Overnight stay at Thame.
Day 14: Trek from Thame to Namche Bazaar 3440m (5/6 hours), overnight at tented camp.
Today, you will descend towards Samde. You will get to see the panoramic views of the world’s highest mountain, Mt. Everest (8,848 m) and other mountains like Mt. Cho Oyu (8188m), Mt. Taboche (6367m), and others in the Rolwaling and Everest ranges on the trail. Further, you will go through several small villages and monasteries and descend to Syangboche. From here, you will head towards Namche Bazaar following the bank of BhoteKoshi River. Overnight stay at Namche Bazaar.
Day 15: Trek from Namche to Lukla 2840m (6/7 hours), overnight at tented camp.
Today is your last day of trekking. You will leave Namche Bazaar and move towards Lukla. You will trek along the BhoteKoshi River and DudhKoshi River, and reach LarjaDobhan. From here, you will descend down to Jorsalle and exit Sagarmatha National Park. Further, trekking along the DudhKoshi River and crossing several small villages, Mani walls, monasteries, and prayer wheels, you will reach Lukla. Overnight stay at Lukla.
Day 16: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.
You will wake up early in the morning and have breakfast. After that, you will fly back to the Kathmandu. The flight will be short and present you with breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains and hills. Upon arriving at Kathmandu Airport, you will be taken to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax and explore the nearby areas on your own. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 17: Reserve day for flight cancellation from Lukla to Kathmandu due to bad weather, Overnight in Hotel.
This is a reserve day for you in case your flight got canceled or delayed. Flight can get canceled due to the unpredictable weather of Lukla. You can explore the area and interact with the locals to know their lifestyle. You can try different variations of food and drink, and enjoy the day with the beautiful surrounding.
Day 18: Departure to International Airport.
You will wake up early and have your last breakfast of the trip. You will then leave your hotel and make sure that you don’t forget any of your belonging in the hotel. You will be taken to the Tribhuvan International Airport for your flight back to your home.
