Perched in the northern parts of Kathmandu, this climbing trip combines traversing through ancient Buddhist settlements along with admiring the picturesque display of mountains like Langtang, Gaurishankar, and Naya Kanga. This 14 days Ganja-La Chuli (Naya Kanga) Peak climbing trip is the combination of camping and teahouses stay through the overall trek. The trek begins from Syabrubensi after you drive there from Kathmandu. With the exploration of the Langtang region, you pass through the villages of Bamboo, Dovan, Rimche, Lama Hotel, Ghoda Tabela, Langtang village, and Kyanjin Gompa. The first day of trekking is spent at Lama Hotel in the Lama Settlement lodges. From there, you head to the marvelous and magical valley of Langtang, where you get the welcome with Tibetan hospitality. This area was ravaged by the 2015 earthquake but is now on the road to recovery. From the silent walls of Langtang, we make our way to the majestic Kyanjin Gompa. It is a very important monastery in the Langtang region. The next day, you climb the top of Tsergo Ri and experience the relaxing sunrise view of the panoramic Langtang Himalayan ranges. After Kyanjin Gompa, the camping days start where you first head to Naya Kanga base camp by crossing the Langtang Khola. Walk through Naya Khang Kharka to arrive at the base camp and make your way to the summit of Naya Khang Peak by stopping at high camp first. The view from the summit is simply amazing. Slowly head down to the base camp and retrace your steps back to Kyanjin gompa and the Lama hotel. The road to Syabrubensi from Lama Hotel sees quite a decrease in elevation. After shopping for souvenirs, we head to Kathmandu where this journey will end.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
You are welcomed and received by our company representative after you arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) of Nepal. In a private vehicle, we drive you through the streets of Kathmandu towards your hotel. After managing your stay in the hotel, we let you spend the day on your own. You may wander around the vibrant atmosphere of Thamel and Basantapur. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubensi 1503m by private vehicle
After breakfast in the hotel, we drive along the north-west side of the Kathmandu valley along with the rigorous Trishuli River. We drive in a private vehicle and travel for around 6-7 hours before entering the Langtang National park and to Syabrubensi. The beautiful town of Rasuwa district welcomes us with pleasant landscapes and warm hospitality. Overnight at Syabrubensi.
Day 3: Trek from Syabrubensi to Lama Hotel 2410m
Today, we begin our first day of trekking and walk through the villages and forests of Syabrubensi. The cold pine forests and amazing waterfalls accompany us in the trek. We ascend the hills along the banks of Langtang Khola. We take rest at the teahouses of Bamboo. After walking for about 6-7 hours, we reach the Lama Settlement lodges. It is a group of lodges right in the middle of a jungle. Overnight in Lama Hotel.
Day 4: Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang 3430m
After breakfast, we ascend through the forests of pine to reach Ghoda Tabela. We can observe the beautiful picture of Langtang Himal from here. We then walk through the valley and green landscapes to the heart of Langtang valley. We will take a quick breather at Gumanechok before arriving at Langtang. Langtang village is an incredibly beautiful settlement of Tamang and Gurung people. The houses that were destroyed in the massive earthquake of 2015 are being built. The yak pasturelands and amazing hospitality of the village ease our tiredness and muscles pain. Overnight at Langtang.
Day 5: Trek to Kyanjin Gompa 3830m
Today is a short walk to the beautiful monastery of Kyanjin Gompa. From Langtang, we reach the Tibetan settlement of Kyanjin in about 3 hours. The trail is moderate through the flatlands with occasional ascending. Kyanjin Gompa boasts the presence of the principal and most important monastery of the Langtang region. The prayer flags, Mani walls, and Buddhist culture make the village a peaceful and spiritual destination. Overnight at Kyanjin Gompa.
Day 6: Hike to Tserko Ri 4984m
Early in the morning, we ascend through the green hills to the summit of Tserko Ri. It takes us about 3 hours to reach the top and we shall enjoy the beautiful sun rays that illuminate the Langtang Himalayan range. The breathtaking panoramic mountain views fill the heart with a sensation of relaxation and salvation. The altitude is higher and walk is steep upward, we should ascend slowly and calmly. We then descend down, have our breakfast, and explore around the culture, tradition, and ethnicity of Kyanjin village. Overnight at Kyanjin Gompa.
Day 7: Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Naya Kanga Base Camp 4300m
From today, we start our camping days as we go to the Naya Kanga base camp from Kyanjin Gompa. After crossing the Langtang Khola, we ascend hills through the forests of birch and juniper shrubs. We will walk through the Naya Kanga Kharka which is a grazing ground for cattle. After having lunch here, we move forward. After walking for about 5 hours, we reach the base camp and observe the sensational view of snowcapped mountains. Overnight at the base camp in a tent.
Day 8: Trek from Base Camp to High Camp 4950m
After breakfast in our tents, we ascend the steep terrain to reach the High camp. As the trail is steeper and the altitude keeps on increasing, we take a slow and comfortable walk while enjoying the photogenic views of the spectacular mountains. The trail is a sleeper due to the snow coverage, so we march ahead with proper care. We walk for around 5 hours and do camping for the night at the High Camp. Overnight at High Camp.
Day 9: Summit Naya Kanga Peak 5863m and back to Base Camp 4300m
We start the trek early in the morning and aim to reach the summit during the day. As our technical crew manages the ropes and equipment, we walk through the steep snow trails. The walk goes gradual at first with increasing steepness as we move forward. With the guidance and precautions of the technical crew, we head to the summit safely. The views of the Langtang valley and the surrounding mountains is breathtaking and glamorous. Filling our heart with the dopamine of accomplishment, we descend down through the hills and High camp. We spend our last day of camping at the base camp. Overnight at base camp.
Day 10: Trek from Base Camp to Kyanjin Gompa 3830m
After breakfast, we descend all the way down to the Kyanjin Gompa. Crossing the Langtang Khola, birches and juniper forests, and yak pasturelands, we reach Kyanjin Gompa in about 4-5 hours. After the arrival, we check in to the hotel where we can spend our night in a comfortable bed with delicious food. Overnight at Kyanjin Gompa.
Day 11: Trek from Kyanjin to Lama Hotel 2410m
Today, we bid farewell to the incredibly beautiful village of Kyanjin Gompa and descend towards the Lama Hotel. After crossing of suspension bridges, yak lands, and amazing landscapes, we reach Langtang village. We can taste the yak curd and a special juice of Sebak Thong in Langtang. We then cross the valley and arrive at Ghoda Tabela. Overnight in Lama Hotel.
Day 12: Trek from Lama Hotel to Syabrubensi 1503m
After breakfast, we descend through the dense pine forests. We cross the teahouses of Rimche, Bamboo, and Dovan on our way. We walk for around 5-6 hours through the cold forests before arriving in the beautiful town of Syabrubensi. We end our trekking here and spend the night at Syabrubensi with good food. You can even spend some time shopping for souvenirs in Syabrubensi. Overnight in Syabrubensi.
Day 13: Drive from Syabrubensi to Kathmandu by private vehicle
After the morning breakfast in Syabrubensi, we drive back to Kathmandu in a private vehicle. We exit the Langtang National park and join our way alongside the Trishuli River. After 7-8 hours’ drive, we arrive at the capital city of Kathmandu. We then check in to the hotel and spend our time relaxing. You may celebrate the accomplishment with a chilled beer in the dazzling ambiance of Thamel. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 14: Departure from Kathmandu
Today is the last day of your stay in Nepal. With good memories and smile, we bid you a warm farewell. Our company representatives will drop you off at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) before the scheduled flight time. We wish you good luck in the future endeavors and hope to see you again in Nepal. Goodbye and Thanks.
