Arun Valley Salpa Bhanjyang takes you along an adventurous trail while you can experience picturesque views of lush green terrain lands with the backdrop of gigantic Himalayas. Stretching on the eastern part of the country, the trek traverses the countryside or near the Everest and Makalu regions while continually rewarding the trekkers with views of the most esteemed mountains and rich culture of the ethnic groups inhibiting in those areas.
The Arun Valley is one of the deepest valleys in Nepal. Specifically a non-touristic area, Arun Valley is famous for its scenic beauty and has one of many attractive trek trails. Rich in vegetation and wildlife, this Arun Valley and Salpa Bhanjyang Trek will allow you to enjoy spectacular views of lush green landscapes along with numerous majestic mountains such as Mt. Lhotse (8414m), Mt. Makalu (8463m), Mt. Ama Dablam (6856m) and many more. This trekking trail is also famous for its culturally rich local Sherpa villages. Our trek starts with a drive from Kathmandu to Phalpu Salleri. Enjoying the views of rivers and beautiful hills, we continue our trek from Tibetan Camp to Budhi danda, and then to Sotang. Relishing the panorama of mountain views, we trek to Sanam following the trail on hillside forests. The trek then finally heads to Salpa Pass and Salpa Bhanjyang . We descend from Salpa Bhanjyang to Gothe Bazaar and, following a pleasant trail, reach Kattike Ghat, and finally to Tumlingtar. From there, we take a flight to Kathmandu. This 13 days trek will be adventurous, thrilling and unforgettable as it will be an experience that you have never had before!

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
On your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be received by our staff who will assist you and then transfer you to the hotel. Seeing the bustling streets of Kathmandu, you will reach the hotel and rest for the day. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Kathmandu to Phaplu Salleri by Jeep
After breakfast, we head towards Phalpu Salleri by Jeep. On our way, we enjoy beautiful views of green hills and rivers of the lowlands. Phalpu Salleri is mostly inhibited by Tibetan communities. These communities also have a rich culture and display it through their lifestyle and daily practices. We then trek to Tibetan Camp which is a short walk away from the bus stop. Overnight stay at Tibetan Camp.
Day 3: Tibetan Camp to Budhi danda 1800m
The next day, we start our trek early from Tibetan Camp to Budhi danda. Views of the lush green landscapes on the way will definitely make your walk more exciting and memorable. We can see small Stupas and Gumbas on the way as we pass through the local Sherpa and Magar villages. Overnight stay at Budhi danda.
Day 4: Budhi danda to Sotang 1600m
We trek from Budhi danda to Sotang which is approximately 5-6 hour walk. The amazing trails through pine trees with the sound of flowing streams and chirping birds will make the journey more memorable and refreshing. Along the way, we will also be able to witness the culture and ethnic diversity of the local Sherpa and Rai communities in that area. Overnight stay at Sotang.
Day 5: Sotang to Gudel 2068m
We continue our trek from Sotang to Gudel. We can get outstanding views of many famous mountains such as Mt Makalu (8463m), Mt. Everest (8848m), and more as we get near to Gudel. Gudel is a small village surrounded with terraced lands. Mostly ethnic communities of Rai, Magar, and Limbu reside in this area. We can see their lifestyle, culture, and traditions as they are rich and unique. Overnight stay at Gudel.
Day 6: Gudel to Sanam 2800m
We move towards Sanam from Gudel. We can see the dense Rhododendron and Brown Oak forests adding to the beauty of the trail. There is also a local paper factory producing Nepali papers that we can visit on the way. Passing through numerous stupas and Gumbas, we reach Sanam. Sanam is another beautiful village with the spectacular scenic beauty of the majestic mountains. Overnight stay at Sanam.
Day 7: Sanam to Salpa Pass to Salpa Phedi 2760m
The next day, we walk from Sanam to Salpa Pass. We move ahead and reach Salpa Phedi at 2760 meters. We pass through a local village where they have unique and tiny houses. Beautiful views of green rice fields, terrace lands and Stupas can be seen which will definitely leave you to feel amazed. We pass through Sanu Khola and reach Salpa Phedi. Overnight stay at Salpa Phedi.
Day 8: Salpa Phedi to Gothe Bazaar 1128m
We descend from Salpa Phedi to Gothe Bazaar which is a 6-7 hour walk. With the view of the rice fields and rivers, you will pass through a large suspension bridge and walk through Sherpa and Rai Villages. As we explore the village, the hospitality of the locals and their culture will be something to look forward to. Overnight stay at Gothe Bazaar.
Day 9: Gothe Bazaar to Kattike Ghat 457m
The next day, we walk from Gothe Bazaar to Kattike Ghat through local villages. Along with wonderful views of the green terrain lands and rivers, we can also see the mesmerizing view of the small yet beautiful Arun Valley one the way. After we reach the lively village of Kartike Ghat, we can rest and explore the area around the village. Overnight stay at Kattike Ghat.
Day 10: Kattike Ghat to Tumlingtar 410m
Next morning, we leave early from Kattike Ghat to Tumlingtar. We pass through sub-tropical forests and small villages of Chyawabesi and Archale. Continuing our journey, walking the trails along the bank of Arun River, we reach Tumlingtar. Today is also the last day of the trek so, you head to Tumlingtar bidding farewell to the glorious sceneries and mountains. Overnight stay at Tumlingtar.
Day 11: Tumlingtar by flight to Kathmandu
After breakfast, we leave from Tumlingtar and take a flight back to Kathmandu. We return to our hotel and rest. You can enjoy the rest of the evening, walking through the vibrant streets of Thamel and also buying some souvenirs for your loved ones back home. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 12: Visit Kathmandu valley
This day we tour around the capital city. We visit famous World Heritage Sites and historically famous places. The prime destinations for the day will be Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath stupa, Swayambhunath stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. These sites are the cultural and religious symbols of the city and have preserved these beliefs since ancient times. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 13: Transfer to international airport for your final departure
We bid you farewell as our staffs will drop you at the Tribhuvan International Airport. We hope that your trek experience was amazing and you will cherish those moments for the lifetime. As you leave for home with wonderful memories from the trek, we wish you a safe journey and hope to meet you in the future.
