Khopra Danda Trek

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu 1300m
On your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our airport representative will be waiting for you to greet you and to escort you to the hotel. In the evening we will have a short introduction program and to brief the trek. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara by tourist bus and transfer to hotel.
Today, in the early morning, we will leave our hotel to Pokhara in a comfortable Tourist Bus. A journey of about 6-7 hours along the highway will take us to the City of Lakes, Pokhara. Once at Pokhara, we can explore the city and take a stroll around the Phewa Lake. The lakeside area is also famous for its lively nature and offers various services to the tourists. Overnight stay at a hotel n Pokhara.

Day 3: Drive from Pokhara to Galeshwar 1170m and trek to Banskharka 1700m
The drive to Galeshwar is almost three and a half hour along the bank of Kali Gandaki River. The trail is beautiful which offers us with the views of stunning mountain, green valleys, and river. From Galeshwar, we will head to Banskharka and walk along the steep hills. We will ascend through a suspension bridge which is just above the deepest gorge, The Kali Gandaki gorge and continue to Banskharka. Overnight stay at Banskharka.

Day 4: Trek from Banskharka to Nangi 2320m
Our day starts with the trek along the forested landscapes, many Magar settlements, waterfalls with the stunning scenery of high mountains to the village Nangi. Nangi village is also a Magar settlement having various project plans for their livelihood such as fish farming, Mushroom farming, Handmade Lokta paper Making Project, Women’s clinic and Forestry nursery. On reaching Nangi, we can tour around the village. Overnight stay at Nangi.

Day 5: Trek from Nangi to Mohare Danda 3224m
This will be a long day walk to the Mohare hill which stands above a deep gorge and over the steep ridges valley. Our trek will be almost along the forests of Oak and rhododendron offering us the beautiful and pristine views of the high mountains in Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. On reaching Mohare Danda we can enjoy the magnificent sunset views over the Himalayas. Overnight stay at Mohare Danda.

Day 6: Trek from Mohare Danda to Swanta 2100m
Enjoying the panoramic mountain views we will start to descend along the narrow rocky ridgeline following the forested landscapes which winds across a valley finally leading us to the beautiful Swanta village.  It is a Magar village with less number of houses. We can explore the village that offers typical Gurung lifestyle. Overnight stay at Swanta.

Day 7: Trek from Swanta to Chistibang 2930m
Following the descending trail along the Bamboo forests we will reach a wooden suspension bridge and on crossing the bridge our trail climbs steeply uphill to Rat mate. We will have our lunch here and then we will continue to trek along the ascending trail along the forests of Oak and Rhododendron to Chistibang. Overnight stay at Chistibang.

Day 8: Trek from Chistibang to Khopra Danda 3660m
In the early morning, we will leave Chistibang and climb steep uphill along the ridges leaving the tree line behind. On our way, we may see some animals like Himalayan Tahr and Himalayan Monal. We continue to trek along the ridges to reach Khopra Danda which offers the stunning views of the Himalayas like Nilgiri (7061m), Machhapuchhre (6993m), and countless other mountains in Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range. Overnight stay at Khopra Danda.

Day 9: Explore to Khayer Barah Lake 4600m
Today, we will hike up to the Khayer Barah Lake. The trail mostly ascends uphill along the ridge lines from Khopra Danda to Khayer Base Camp. From Khayer Base Camp, we will get stunning and unobstructed views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Range. From here, we will ascend to reach the beautiful Khayer Barah Lake which is situated at the height of 4600 m above the sea level. The view of beautiful bluish water forming waves at this height is just magnificent. In the afternoon we will descend back to Khopra Danda. Overnight stay at Khopra Danda.

Day 10: Trek from Khopra Danda to Dobato 3420m
Our trail will be descending along the ridgeline to Chistibang and then continues along the forests of Oak and rhododendron to Bayeli Kharka. From Bayeli Kharka, we will descend to the famous viewpoint of this region, Muldai viewpoint. It offers us with the 360-degree panoramic mountain views. Enjoying the stunning views we will finally descend to our destination Dobato. Overnight stay at Dobato.

Day 11: Trek from Dobato to Ghandruk 1940m
Today we will descend to Ghandruk village. Initially, our trail will head towards the Meshar Danda which is followed by Isharu and then we will continue along the forested landscape to descend to Tadapani. From Tadapani we will continue to descend Ghandruk. Ghandruk is a Gurung village famous for the homestay practice and sublime mountain views. Overnight stay at Ghandruk.

Day 12: Trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara
Enjoying the stunning mountain views today we will leave Ghandruk in the early morning. We will cross few settlement areas and local suspension bridges over the Kali Gandaki River before reaching Nayapul. From Nayapul, we drive to Pokhara. At Pokhara, we can explore the city and enjoy at the restaurants and bars to celebrate the success of the trek.Overnight stay at a hotel in Pokhara.

Day 13: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist bus
Today, we will drive back to Kathmandu. Craving the beautiful memories we will travel back to Kathmandu along the Prithvi Highway. On reaching there, we will escort you to the hotel where you can rest and freshen up. You can opt to explore the city for gifts and souvenirs. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 14: Departure from Kathmandu
After having your breakfast we will drive you back to The Tribhuvan International Airport for your scheduled flight.
