Always aware and focused on what he wants to deliver through tourism, challenges have never fazed Mr. Lawang Tamang, the founder of Alpine Adventures. Starting his journey quite early in life, fresh out of high school, so far he has accumulated many job roles and experiences in his career span.
He got his start as a porter and worked his way up, Mr. Tamang spent around 8 years freelancing as guide mounting some of the most popular and challenging trails, before starting his own company at 2006. During this experience, he trudged the challenging Himalayas which includes Tibet, several regions of Nepal from east to west. Leading over 80 groups from all over the world where they get to experience Nepal, accompanied by Mr. Tamang’s vast understanding of local communities and regions. Over the span of 20 years, he has been well acquainted with many of the major destinations such as Everest, Langtang, Annapurna, Kanchenjunga, Mustang, Manaslu, and more.
Due to the accumulation of unprecedented knowledge on the rare natural resources in the country and understanding of both the needs of travelers and communities prompted him to start a business that was ethical and genuinely cared about all his stakeholders. He started Alpine Adventure with an intention to contribute in the economic growth of locals, preserve and gather the deep understanding of the Himalayas whilst providing unforgettable experiences to the travelers that embark on the journey with the company.
Moreover, a self-motivator Mr. Tamang over the years has managed to gather the vast amount of skills and expertise which includes skill management, emergency evacuation management and good command of the English and French languages.
